We are designers who are passionately dedicated to craftsmanship. We are inspired by the South. Time-honored tradition. Patina. Antiques and old tools. A well-crafted cocktail. Good food. Exploring and adventuring. Maps. Pisgah National Forest and the Appalachian mountains. We celebrate the unexpected – little nuances in the leather or the way a metal patinas over time – these are the details that make a piece truly one-of-a-kind.
Growing up in the rural Carolinas, both of us spent our childhoods playing in creeks, building forts and gettin' dirty. We learned to create with a couple of tools and our own two hands, trial and error and hard work. Our innate creativity blossomed in the back woods of the South, just like a dogwood in April.
This lead both of us to design school, where we met. We saw in each other a kinship, a tenacity and a common spirit. We were married in 2010, and the hobbies and projects haven't stopped since. But once we picked up a mallet and an end-punch, we haven't been able to put them down.
Needless to say, everything in our shop is handmade. We cut, punch and stitch each and every piece we produce using traditional techniques. It’s just us, our little girl (who's still learning the trade), and Oliver the dog.
